Fabulous Mark VI tenor Saxophone in great playing condition. All the leather pads with resonators seal perfectly and the instrument plays with a rich deep sound along with excellent intonation. The bell is engraved and generally the lacquer is showing at around 80%. Showing wear with various surface scratches in the usual places but this only adds to the patina. Some pitting of the keys and pad guards can also be seen but in general, this is a fabulous example of one of the best saxophones ever built. Hiscox flight case included. We suspect that this saxophone may have been re-lacquered early on in its life, but this in no way affects the way this amazing saxophone plays. Hiscox case. No mouthpiece.
Played professionally in Big Bands and theatre productions. This is a true players' instrument.
