King Marigaux Soprano Saxophone in stunning condition.

Manufactured by SML in Paris, France.

These saxophones are considered professional-level instruments. King collaborated with Strasser Marigaux and Lemair manufacturing in Paris to supply professional level saxophones to complete its product line. SML used its Gold Medal series saxophones as the basis for these King instruments. In their day, these saxes competed directly with Selmer saxophones of the same era.

SML instruments are incredibly well made and have a very solid feel. This one plays beautifully with great freedom of sound and great intensity. The instrument has recently been overhauled with new leather pads all round. The lacquer is perfect and the hand engraved bell is immaculate. Sold with the original case in great condition. No mouthpiece.

An amazing example of this highly collectible but usable soprano saxophone.
