Buescher “Truetone” Bass saxophone
Fantastic Vintage instrument dated around the mid 1920’s. Perfect playing order. All pads seal well and the instrument plays from top to bottom without fault. Played recently in Richard Strauss’s Sinfonia Domestica with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London and a massed saxophone and clarinet ensemble lead by Jess Gillam in Birmingham.
The gold body has a few age related scratches, some slight wear and some very small dings but the general condition is truly excellent. A side Bb has been added at some stage which makes the instrument much easier to navigate. A Selmer mouthpiece is included in the sale.
The case has wheels fitted and protects the instrument perfectly.
A rare find indeed.
