Reed and Squeak are proud to offer this fantastic previously owned Royal Global “Firebird” Bass Clarinet to low C in Grenadilla wood.

The Royal Global Firebird stands alone in the world of professional Low C bass clarinets. This premium instrument features naturally aged grenadilla wood, with Royal's proprietary ECO wood bell.

This “Firebird” model is an absolute pleasure to play. The sound is rich, dark, and resonant and offers great fluidity throughout the registers. The keywork is extremely strong and secure and reacts perfectly under the fingers with comfortable ergonomics. The white leather pads seal perfectly and intonation is excellent in all registers.

The low notes feel extremely strong and resonant. Low D can be played with RH, LH or thumb. Low C and C sharp with the thumb.

The crook is made with very heavy metal which is reinforced with a shark-fin design. It is tunable and has an adjustable corked sleeve.

Comes with two spikes with rubber balls attached (50cm and 25cm) for sitting and standing. The original “Firebird” case with backpack straps. This may be upgraded to a Reed and Squeak case by separate negotiation. No mouthpiece. We can supply a mouthpiece if necessary by separate negotiation.

This instrument has had limited use by its previous owner and is still in wonderful condition.
