Fantastic Leblanc “Spirit” Bass Clarinet to low Eb.

This instrument has had only one careful adult owner. It was traded-in recently against a new Royal Global MAX Low C bass clarinet.

The Spirit bass was introduced in 2000, and sits above the Noblet Bass in the Leblanc line up. It competes directly with the Buffet Bass to low Eb, BC1180, which like the Leblanc has only a single overblowing vent. The Buffet currently retails new for over £7000.

There are no cracks or damage to the wood, but the bell and crook do show signs of regular use. The nickel plated key work is in good condition, with no plating loss. This instrument plays very well with a free sound and good intonation. A great starter instrument for anyone looking for a good value wooden instrument. Can be played using the floor peg or with a sling. The case is a new Reed and Squeak bass case to low Eb made in Eco-Leather. No mouthpiece.
