Buffet R13 Clarinet

Polished nickel silver keys with fish skin pads. This instrument is an absolute pleasure to play. Fantastic quality wood. The wood Buffet used in the 1970’s and 1980’s was considered by many to be the highest quality African Grenadilla ever used. Wood of this exceptional quality is rarely seen in modern instruments. The wood shows no cracks. The nickel silver plated keywork is absolutely immaculate with barely a scratch or mark. This model of R13 was ordered from the factory with an additional 3rd ring on the top joint. The instrument dates to 1975 and still looks like new.

Very free blowing with great intonation and a beautiful legato sound. This clarinet has been extremely well cared for over the years and really is a truly fabulous instrument.

Supplied in a Reed and Squeak case. 66mm barrel. No mouthpiece.
