Stunning Boosey and Hawkes 1010 clarinet.
This fabulous instrument was played professionally in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra by prinicipal clarinet legend Prudence Whittaker. Purchased around 1966 as a back-up instrument. Its had very little use, hence the fantastic condition.
Silver plated, leather padded and in fine playing condition. Barrel and vintage double case included. 1010 No.2 mouthpiece also included in excellent condition.
Wonderful sweet old-English sound. Fantastic wood with a beautiful rich grain showing no cracks. The silver plating is perfect.
An early 1010 without the “Acton Vent” preferred by many players.
