Uebel Basset Horn in F with range to low C

A fantastic example of this highly sought after instrument. Leather pads, sliver keys and a new case. This instruments plays perfectly in all the registers with excellent intonation. The glorious wood is in excellent condition showing no cracks. The neck has much plating loss but this does not affect the instrument. It has been played in many professional UK symphony orchestras and ensembles. It uses a Bb mouthpiece that has a slightly larger bore than the standard French bore. A suitable large bore mouthpiece is included in the sale.

This is a straight basset design with a wooden bell. The sound is mellow but focused and projects well. The RH thumb works the three low lowest notes, C, C# and D. Spike included.

Ideal for Mozart’s Grand Partita and Requiem and Felix Mendelssohn’s Konzertstück.
